During the last years it has carried out the first inventory of the historical cementery of Palma. Finished the job a serie of remarkable informations have been extracted for its novelty and patrimonial importance.

The team that carried out this catalogue was composed by Joan Fàbregas as a documentalist, Bel Forteza as a photographer, Adrià Ferrà as an assistant and carlos Garrido as an editor and director.

About 6,000 tombs have been catalogued. The register reaches the sector 1 (expasion from the beginning of the 20th century) and the sector 2 (19th century areas). That work of catalogue only include individualized monuments, leaving a part of the niches in surface or undergroung (case of catacombs). Neither figure the old Quadre 9 or non-Catholic cementery which was modified in modern times.

In each card it has described the kind of monument (leaving cross, edicule, chapel etc.) as well as the main inscription with its corresponding photography. Thanks to that catalogue a lot of architectural or artistics projects have given to know wath is an extraordinary contribution to the art history of 19th and 20th centuries in Majorca. Above all for what refers to architects, master of builder and sculptors. ¿ Without any doubt, the most remarkable date refers to the enumeratino of architects, master of builder, artists and indentified sculptors. With this inventory remains obvious that the historical cementery of Palma contains a very important collection of work of arts that helps to understand the aesthetci history of 19th and 20th centuries os Majorca.
